Biography Gianfranco Frattini was born in 1926 in Italy. He studied architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan and graduated in 1953. He met Gio Ponti with whom he began a first collaboration. The famous designer would become his teacher and mentor. Frattini founded his own design agency following his observations: the choice of lighting and furniture was too limited for him.
