Ukrainian industrial designer Kateryna Sokolova was born in 1984. She is the founder and creative director of Sokolova design studio. Her design team works in various disciplines: furniture, lighting, electronics and environment. Kateryna graduated from the Kharkov Academy of Design and Arts. She completed an internship at the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle in Germany. She earned a master's degree in industrial design. She has won numerous European design awards, including the Red Dot Design Award 2015. She has been collaborating with the French company Jarre Technologies since 2011, working on the development of videos and high-tech products with the famous French musician Jean-Michel Jarre. Today Kateryna is an internationally recognized designer. She lives between kyiv and Hong Kong and collaborates with European and Asian companies. Her clients include Jarre Technologies, Lalique, Forestier, Cookoo watch, Normann Copenhagen.
