Mario Bellini is an internationally renowned architect and designer. He has received the Compasso d'Oro award eight times, and 25 of his works are part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, which dedicated a retrospective to him in 1987. He was director of the magazine Domus (1985-1991). He has planned numerous exhibitions of art and architecture in Italy and abroad, among the most recent those dedicated to Giotto's masterpieces at the Palazzo Reale in Milan (2016) and to Margherita Sarfatti at the Museo del '900 (2018-2019). In 2015, the Triennale Museum in Milan awarded him the Gold Medal for his career as an architect, and in 2017 dedicated a retrospective to him. Since the 1980s, he has devoted himself mainly to architecture.
