Pizza dish - “Be my guest”

These porcelain plates are adorned with stunning vintage illustrations inspired by old ''citrus papers''. These small tissue paper squares with a central design were used to wrap oranges in the last century. Part of the popular cultural heritage of the 20th century, citrus papers have become a rare commodity that can only be found on the shelves of luxury grocery stores and among collectors! Deliciously retro imagery is totally updated with flashy colors, modern patterns and quirky details. Simple and showy, the patterns respond to a popular and naive inspiration, made up of poetry and ingenuous symbolism, traits that are reminiscent of children's drawings.
